Aircraft Twirls Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Coast
A chopper flying above a crowded California beach unexpectedly started spinning wildly, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm groves as spectators observed.
Videos uploaded on social media capture the chopper commencing to spiral near Huntington Beach then descending near the edge of the shore, where it gets stuck among palm trees and a staircase close to the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Update
Local firefighters stated five individuals were transported to a medical facility involving two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” after the accident on the weekend.
Three persons on the pavement were hurt. Details on their wounds were still under review.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
