Christantus Uche Sparks Comfortable Palace Triumph at Shelbourne.
Despite entering their first-ever European campaign, Crystal Palace are learning at a rapid pace. Without key players like striker Jean-Philippe Mateta and defender Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles departed Dublin with a commanding win that all but guarantees them a place in the Conference League qualifying rounds.
A further three points in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS ought to be sufficient to secure direct entry to the last 16, especially following a previous setback against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Opportunity
This match offered a chance for some of Palace's fringe players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning after arriving on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Forward Eddie Nketiah added a second, scoring for the second consecutive succession.

The match was as good as over eight minutes from half-time. Yeremy Pino meandered past a series of comically weak challenges before coolly slotting a shot past goalkeeper Wessel Speel to make it 3-0.
After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to withdraw several individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring his very first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was desperately unlucky later on, seeing one shot crash off each posts before being gathered on the line. Uche also blazed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still scope for improvement in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a late knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This allowed 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to make his first-team debut, rounding off an otherwise perfect evening for the visiting side.
