Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage after getting out of a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt in the event. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later released.

Officers arrested a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault close to the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The attack - which authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
